Well here’s a temptation for Dad’s Army fans with deep pockets. The  1935 Ford Box Van used as Lance Cpl Jones’s butcher’s van in Dad’s Army is going up for auction at Bonhams on 3rd December. The van, in its original Dad’s Army livery will be sold as part of a wider sales of vehicles from the Patrick Collection, which has owned it for a number of years.

Those of us here in Walmington will be nipping down to Swallow’s Bank to see if we can get a loan for the £20,000 to £30,000 it is expected to reach.
