The War and Peace Show at the Hop Farm Country Park, Kent will be visited by Dad’s Army cast members Pamela Cundell, Frank Williams, Bill Pertwee and Ian Lavender - in uniform - on the 24th of July. The following day Melvyn Hayes and Michael Knowles from It Ain’t Half Hot Mum will also attend.

|
Silver's Ghost. Set against a back-drop of World War II this play tells the story of Silver Brizeley-Lemington and her fiance, Jack, who announce their intention to marry as soon as war is over. However when Jack returns from the front things aren't quite as they seem. The production runs from 12th to 15th May at the Electric Theatre in Guildford. The box office is open from 1:30am to 5:00pm daily on 01483-444789.

The Thetford Dad’s Army Trail is due to be launched by David Croft. The trail devised in association with the DAAS enables visitors to visit many of the outside filming locations of the series. A colour leaflet has been produced with a map and details of locations and the episodes in which they appear.

Croft and Perry Sitcoms at Bressingham. The now regular Dad’s Army event at Bressingham has been changed slightly to take in a wider range of the Perry and Croft shows including It Ain’t Half Hot Mum, Hi-De-Hi and You Rang m’Lord.

1940s weekend at the National Tramway Museum, Derbyshire. Relive the Home Front with rationing and air raids. Special reduced price admission for those in forties costume.

2nd & 3rd August
|
1940s weekend at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre - with battle re-enactments in period costumes. Displays of contemporary armaments, dancing to a Glenn Miller style Big Band and a 1940s Fashion Show complete the transformation of the Centre back 60 years.
